Flintmountain Sunshine view pedigree

Now she has turned 11 months old and her training is coming on in leaps and bounds, she has really started to give you the eye when she is out training , forever watching your hands waiting for a signal .
Her retrieving is coming on with her coming into you and sitting before she offers the dummy up to you there is nothing more enjoyable than watching a spaniel as it quarters in front of you questing for a scent.

She has started to quarter a real treat working close to you and never venturing far to one side or the other, this is as I like it as she will soon get drawn a little farther out as she realizes what live scent means.
As she is working I have started to introduce the surprise element of firing the occasional shot from the starting pistol and blowing the stop whistle at the same time in order for her to drop to shot, this is having the desired effect in that she is dropping and looking back giving me the eye all the time waiting for me to release her from the drop.

We tried her on a pond on the mountain the other day, just to introduce her to the wet stuff, a single dummy nothing hard she saw one of the labs go for a retrieve and after that there was no stopping her straight off the bank into quite deep water she showed absolutely no fear in fact we had to restrain her when we did not want her to go in, really mad for water.

Kim has started to look a smart and purposeful bitch now that she has matured. every inch the worker, with quite a suprising turn of speed, this picture was taken at twenty months of age.
